Hi-Ho-Hi-Ho Off to Camp I Go!

Well rarely do you get to say that your childhood dream came true. Starting Saturday a dream I’ve had since first grade (I’ll be a sophomore in college this year) is coming true! Since I was 6 (yes 13 years!!) I’ve wanted to be a counselor at Camp Penn. It is a church camp in Waynesboro, PA that I start out at as a mini-camper, gave my life to Him there at 8 years old, and only missed one year because I was in India. Well I will now be a counselor there. It is hard to believe, but obviously this adventure hasn’t started yet. All week I’ve been praying about camp, the campers, fellow counselors, and my calling at Camp Penn. I want to ask all of you to join in praying with me.

-Pray that the Holy Spirit will be evident at camp.

-Pray that the hearts of the campers will be open to His Word.

-Pray that the staff (both volunteer and paid) will be good examples both on grounds and outside of camp.

-Pray that what is learned this week doesn’t get left at camp, but that the lessons will be taken with each person.

-Pray that the peace that everyone feels at camp can be taken with them wherever they go

-Pray that the staff’s service is not in vain, but for the glory of God

-Pray for a good, safe week

-Pray for good health and weather (I like 70-80’s)

-Pray for lives to be changed for the better of the Kingdom of God

-Pray for God’s Hands to cover each and every thing we say and do
